Antipasto Cake

This delicious cake is cooked in the traditional bundt pan and served with a selection of fun Tuscan finger food like olives, cheese and salami.

Easy to make Tuscan antipasto dish

using ready made pizza dough, this is a fast and delicious dish to add to parties, dinners or an apetizer table. It's flavourful and has a distinct Tuscan presence with all the traditional Italian finger foods that everyone loves to nibble on. Serve with a bowl of fresh pressed olive oil for dipping.

Ingredients:

ready made pizza dough
2 Italian sausages (preferably Tuscan, but you can use what you find)
walnuts (chopped...but leave some whole for decorating)
2 eggs (beat well before adding)
salt, pepper to taste
extra virgin olive oil

on the side
slices or cubes of Tuscan salami
thick slices of swiss cheese
large green olives
extra virgin olive oil

open the sausages so that it is free from the "skin" and mix with chopped walnuts, eggs, salt and pepper into the raw pizza dough

oil bundt pan with extra virgin olive oil and cook until golden brown and well done inside

let cool and then decorate with salami, cheese and olives - serve with a freshly chilled bottle of prosecco . . . the sliced bread with have a slightly spicey taste to it and will be the perfect addition to the finger foods.
