Donna Scharnagl, Guido Fratini and Andrea Guagni, partners in the Discover Tuscany tourism consulting agency, spent most of their 12-day marketing trip in Delaware, preparing dinners at six social events organized by interior designer Rose Giroso of Rose Authentica and demonstrating Tuscan cooking in a class at Celebrity Kitchens in north Wilmington.

Giroso, who met the Discover Tuscany team earlier this year while visiting the region in central Italy on a combination business-vacation trip, knows the area’s popularity first-hand. “I went to Tuscany because of demand for Tuscan design from my clients,” she said. “Two of my clients go to Tuscany every fall, and six of my friends are planning a trip by June of 2008.”
