The first km of the bike tour in Chianti, Tuscany

is an asphalt road but we turn off quickly to a dirt road, one of the many that criss cross the Chianti landscape. The bike tour in Chainti this may included approximately half if the itinerary on a quiet white dirt road trails immersed in silence, the soft sounds of the birds and the sway of the grass as the wind cooled our backs. We end the dirt roads and begin a soft climb into the sloping vineyards of the infamous Chianti region. The bike tour in Chianti offers the Tuscan guests to taste the nature, the views and the culture at a slow and comfortable pace, stopping to take photos, check out the local fauna, hear stories about the history and ruins that abound at every corner.

The itinerary includes a comfortable bike tour,

where you pedal at your own rhythm stopping to take a few photos, relax with some fresh water, or simply absorb the enchanting atmosphere of the Chianti countryside or if you are really lucky you can even see some of the local wildlife life Jonathan did on our last Chianti, Tuscany bike tour. As he was working his way up one of the last hills, he turned his head and there buried in the thick green brush so common to the Chianti hillside was a stag watching his progress. These are the moments that you will remember even with a photo to immortalize it in your photo album.

All of our Tuscan bike itineraries are made ad hoc for the guest,

depending on their bike experience, their desire to explore and their curiosity regarding the Chianti countryside. Some of guests prefer to stop for a light lunch of pasta or Tuscan style bread with proscuitto and cheese, of course a glass of Chianti wine, then continuing the bike tour with another 20 km of trails. Some however prefer to stop while their ahead, enjoy their pannini at a small café and then finish the day with a visit to a cantina and some wine tasting at one of the many Chianti vineyards – one of our favourites is located on the slopes right outside of Giaole in Chianti and afterwards a stop for coffee and a peak around one the enchanting Tuscan towns.
