BIKE TOUR IN THE LAND OF VINO NOBILE …

Ideal for those looking for a new and interesting way of visiting southern Tuscany. Montepulciano, founded in the 6th century BC by the mythical Etruscan king Porsenna, and the area of southern Tuscany offer a beautiful biking opportunity to all those who desire to a more physical approach to visiting this incredible territory. If ever a city was created expressly at the desire of one person, it was Pienza planned by Pope Pius 2° and designed by Bernardo Rossellino, followed by a trip through the famous clays of Monticchiello.

Itinerary:

Starting point will be Montepulciano where our bike route will enter into the land of Brunello following the panoramic routes through paved and un paved roads winding amoung the countless vineyards and picturesque landscapes.

Difficulty:

The tour is considered beginner level – fairly easy, the roads are mix of paved and dirt – but in very good condition with many photo spots. The tour can vary in difficulty depending on the experience of all members, please make enquires directly with Discover Tuscany.

Extra:

A light lunch can be organized in a farm house or at local restaurant.



Tour includes:

Bikes – Helmets - Water bottles – 1 / 3 bike guides (according to the dimension of the group) - a van to assist the group on the road - wine tasting – and explanation of the wines made by an expert sommelier.

Groups larger than 15 persons will be priced individually according to the number of persons. If you have special needs or requirements please advise immediately at time of booking. All prices are per person for destinations within 60 km of Florence, other areas will have a small travel expense per group.
