The cyclist in Mugello will discover castles,villas and convents in a landscape of mountains and forests. This area was a theatre of Etruscans, who settled here, struggles between the Guelphs and the Ghibellines and the Medici family. Travelling from the palazzo of Borgo San Lorenzo to Scarperia desired by the Florentine Republic to oppose the Feudal power of the Ubaldini family who controlled the main roads and Apennine passes.

Itinerary:
Starting in the picturesque Borgo S. Lorenzo and proceeding towards sunny roads of the Appennine ridge. We include stops at Galliano and a trip around the walls of Scarperia, and Palazzo dei Vicari. The utuberart makes a wide circle and ends back up in Borgo S. Lorenzo.
Difficulty:
The tour is considered beginner level fairly easy, going up-hill on the first part and down hill the second part. Designed to let everybody enjoy the wonderful scenery of Chianti.
