Siena City Tour

Siena's cathedral, the Duomo, begun in the twelfth century and one of the great examples of Italian romanesque architecture. As well as the shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, the town square, are just some of the wonderful sites to be visited while walking the romantic streets of Siena.

Siena stretches over three hills

lying between the valeys of the Arbia, the Elsa and the Merse rivers in southern Tuscany. It found itself under the domination of Caesar, the Longobards, the Carolingians, and finally managed to become a Free City at the begining of the 12th century. It then fought some bloody battles against Florence and in 1269 it underwent a final defeat.

The city was absorbed by the grand duchy of Tuscany in 1559, ruled by Florence and then in 1859 it was the first Tuscan town to belong to the Kingdom of Italy.

Let our expert and professionally trained guides infuse you with their passion for this great Tuscan town.
